Can I Send Meeting Summaries or Recaps Automatically?

Yes! With Waggle's Automated Meeting Recap feature, you can send a summary of your meeting, including action items, directly to participants’ inboxes.

It’s a great way to keep everyone aligned without having to rewatch or take separate notes.

What’s Included in a Meeting Recap?

Each recap email includes:

  • Meeting Summary
    A brief overview of the key discussion points.
    Example:
    “Jane and John discuss strategies for growing social media followers, noting a 10% monthly increase in impressions…”

  • Action Items
    A clearly formatted list of tasks, assignments, and next steps.

  • Skills Assessment Notice
    A personal notification that your skills insights from the meeting are available on the Waggle platform.
    (Note: Only you can view your assessment. It is not shared with others.)

  • Quick Access Links (Sign-in is required)

    • View Full Notes – Opens the full transcript and notes from the meeting.

    • View Assessment – Goes directly to your personalized, private skills assessment in Waggle.

Skills Assessment Notice

If you're a Waggle account holder on a manager or enterprise plan, your meeting recap email will include a personalized skills assessment notification.

"We’ve analyzed your participation in this meeting and prepared a personalized assessment to help you grow your skills."

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Your assessment is not included in the email.
    For your privacy and security, Waggle does not send skills assessments via email. Instead, they’re securely stored on the platform.

  • Only you can see it.
    Even if someone else enabled the meeting recap, they cannot view your assessment orthe link to it, it is strictly private.

  • You'll receive a direct link.
    The email includes a “View Assessment” button that takes you straight to your Meeting Insights on the Waggle platform (you'll be prompted to sign-in) and no one else can access this link.

This keeps your data protected while giving you actionable insights to support your growth.

Who Can Receive a Meeting Recap?

You can customize who gets a recap after each meeting. Choose one of the following:

  • Just yourself – Only you receive the summary

  • Specific participants – Choose by organization or email domain

  • Everyone invited – All meeting participants receive the summary

How to Enable and Customize Meeting Recaps

The feature is turned off by default, so you’ll need to activate it manually:

  1. Go to Profile > Settings > Meeting Recap Settings

  2. Select who should receive recaps

  3. Save your Selection

  4. Your settings will apply automatically to all future meetings.

Transparency: Who Set Up the Recap?

Recipients will see a short note in the email showing who enabled the recap:

“You’re receiving this summary because '[email protected]' and '[email protected]' set up Waggle to send a recap to you.”

Best Practices for Using Meeting Recaps

  • Be selective – Use recaps for meetings where summaries and action items matter

  • Keep participants informed – Let them know if you’ve enabled recaps

  • Review action items before the meeting ends – It helps ensure accuracy

  • Follow up – Use the recap as a prompt to move projects forward
