How to generate a customized Agenda for Your One-on-Ones

1. Make sure "Your Team" is up to date in Waggle

  1. To start a One-on-One ritual with a team member, ensure they've received and accepted your team member invitation in Waggle

  2. If you need help adding or updating team members, refer to "How to add your team members to Waggle"

  3. Go to the Teams section on the sidebar to see the list of all members in "Your team". 

2. Create the One-on-One Ritual

  1. On your Waggle calendar, click "Create a Meeting." in the top right corner.

  2. Under "Select a Ritual Type," choose One-on-One

  3. Customize the Meeting Title, such as One-on-One: "Your name" - "Your direct report's name" or get creative with something like, "One-on-One with the QA Jedi"

  4. Set the meeting's duration, date and time. If it's recurring, choose the recurrence frequency when prompted.

  5. Add your team member by entering their email address and pressing enter.

  6. Before saving, double-check that your team member's email is listed in the meeting invite alongside yours

  7. Save the event and wait a few seconds for it to update on your calendar.

  8. Your team member will receive a meeting invitation to accept and add to their calendar.

3. Set the Context (Tell Waggle more about your team member's role)

  1. Click on the One-on-One event title to generate an agenda.

  2. You'll see a prompt to generate an agenda for the One-on-One

  3. Click on the meeting to see details and Waggle's Smart Suggestions

  4. If you haven't set the context before, a Smart Suggestion will prompt you to "Set the context." Click on "Set the context."

    Providing context helps Waggle understand your meeting's goals. It empowers you to lead confidently and get targeted insights for informed decisions

  5. Answer 9 questions about your team member's role, like current priorities or recent successes, to complete setting the context

  6. Click "Done" when finished.

7. For subsequent One-on-Ones, you can update the context by editing your responses to any of the questions to help generate a new agenda.

4. Generate Agenda

  1. Waggle will automatically start working on an agenda for you

  2. After a few seconds, the suggested agenda will be ready. Click "See suggested agenda" to view the full list.

  3. Each item on the suggested agenda comes with leading questions and suggestions for a richer discussion

  4. Use the agenda as is or select relevant sections to edit. Click "Use this agenda" on the top right to add them to your meeting notes

  5. The agenda will be visible to your team member. Add notes or action items as your meeting progresses or is completed.
